Community Foundation for Southern Arizona

July 2025

Funding for general support was provided to Tucson Community Tennis Program (TCTP) by the Tucson for Tennis Fund, held at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA).

Formed in 1993 to offer physical education, tennis instruction, and mentoring, TCTP shares CFSA’s commitment to improving the quality of life in Southern Arizona. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with a trusted, philanthropic organization to support individuals, businesses, and our larger community. Specifically, this award will help TCTP continue to offer and expand our programs, such as in-school tennis instruction, Saturday and summer tennis camp, and tennis scholarships, to promote a lifelong love of the sport. This will in turn encourage an active lifestyle, and the associated benefits of overall health and community connection, that children can take with them for the rest of their lives.

December 13th, 2024

We are excited to share that TCTP was awarded an organizational funding grant from the Southwest Tennis Foundation in December 2024. This generous support will help us further our mission to foster a love for the sport and encourage an active lifestyle that children can carry into adulthood.

The Southwest Tennis Foundation provides vital funding to organizations that promote the growth of tennis and positively impact their communities. We are honored to be among this year’s recipients and grateful for the Foundation’s recognition of our work.

We thank the Southwest Tennis Foundation for their partnership and continued commitment to fostering the sport of tennis and community well-being.

We were honored to have the opportunity to present at the August Angels Work Miracles meeting for Angel Charity. It was a privilege to share our mission and the impact of our programs with such a dedicated and supportive group. The experience not only allowed us to showcase the positive changes we’ve made but also to express our deep gratitude for the continued support from Angel Charity. We look forward to the ongoing partnership and the many more miracles we can achieve together.

NEW water fountain!

August, 2024

Thanks to the generous donation from Angel Charity, we’ve been able to install a water fountain and filling station at the Pueblo High School courts. For years, our coaches had to bring large water jugs to tennis camp for the kids, but now this fountain allows us to save both time and money.

Thank you Angel Charity for making a difference in so many kids lives!

Angel Charity

April 25, 2024

We are thrilled to have received a $52,000 award from Angel Charity, which will allows us to expand our in-school tennis program within the TUSD School District. With this funding, we can increase our transportation budget, enabling more students to participate in UofA field trips. Additionally, we will be installing a water fountain and filling station at the Pueblo High School courts and extending our summer camp at Pueblo High School to four days a week, with sessions lasting 2.5 hours each day. All our programs remain free of charge, with all equipment provided for the students.
