Meet our Coaches

TCTP summer coach

Derec C.

Coaching at TCTP means giving back to a program that helped shape who I am. Growing up there and now coaching, I’ve seen firsthand how it builds confidence, discipline, and community. It’s impacted me by turning me into a mentor and showing me the importance of guiding others the same way I was guided. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of something so meaningful.

TCTP has allowed me to continue with my passion for the sport of tennis in my retirement. It’s so cool being involved with an awesome community committed families and amazing kids. I’ve continued to grow as a coach and person. Thank you TCTP.

Through TCTP, I have been able to introduce kids and families to the wonderful sport of tennis. It’s always an amazing experience to see the kids face after they hit their first ball over the net, when they receive their own racquet and to see the kindness of the community to the program. Thank you TCTP for allowing to share my passion with the kids.

TCTP Supporters

Thank you to all of our donors and sponsors for making our dreams a reality.

Grant Awards

The Tucson Community Tennis Program (TCTP) would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all grant providers whose generous support has made our youth work possible. Their contributions have enabled us to expand access to the lifelong sport of tennis while imparting vital life skills and building community for our local youth.

TCTP receives a wide array of grants that support our In-School, Saturday Clinic, Summer Camp and Scholarship Programs. We emphasize coaching and necessary equipment to provide much needed physical education and the opportunity to try a new skill.

We are deeply grateful for our grant providers commitment to our mission and for helping us make a positive impact on under-resourced youth.

The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA) connects donors, nonprofits, and community partners to create a more vibrant and equitable Southern Arizona. (website)

Their kind award will enable TCTP to offer and expand our tennis programs, including In-School, Saturday Clinic, Summer Camp and Scholarships. Many thanks to CFSA for your generous support.

Southwest Tennis Foundation

The Southwest Tennis Foundation (SWTF) is dedicated to breaking barriers and creating opportunities for individuals and organizations to thrive in tennis. (website)

SWTF’s grant provided funds to support our In-School Program coaching and equipment needs. Thank you, SWTF,  for partnering with TCTP to expand tennis opportunities for youth in our under-resourced communities.

The HS Lopez Foundation’s vision is to significantly impact the lives of Southern Arizonans by funding programs which focus on advancing education, health, and welfare in our community. (website)

Their generous funding will support our coaching and equipment needs for our In-School Program. We gratefully thank the HS Lopez Foundation for their kind support of TCTP.

Tucson conquistadores TCTP
